If you haven’t booked your ski holiday for next season now might be the time with heavy snow expected across the alps over the next two weeks. Early estimates range between 0.8m and 1.2m falling with temperatures and snow falling below 1,000m later on this week. Ski resorts as a consequence are already talking about opening early with many set to open a mid to late November and a bumper snow for the Christmas and New Year ski holidays after the disappointingly slow start last year soon to be forgotten.

It is a much needed boost to the ski and snowboard industry and some long range forecasters are forecasting one of the coldest and heaviest snowfalls for many seasons.
So it really does seem time to dust off the ski and snowboarders and get ready to enjoy the powder. Contact the Chalet Ski Holidays team today on +44(0)117 362 0100 for the latest availability and some great Christmas and New Year Ski Holiday deals.Share

NB: Forecasts are based on the anticipated snowfall in the Western Alps, taken from a select range of sites to provide a broad representative measure of the anticipated snowfall and the altitude snow is expected to fall. Forecasting is however always notoriously difficult to predict, particularly in the mountains, and the information is given as indicative probability only.
With over 20 years in alpine travel, our knowledge is deep and personal. We don’t just know the resorts — we understand the mountain rhythm.
Each chalet is hand-selected for style, comfort, and location. Nothing makes the cut without meeting our exacting standards.
We offer a seamless, personal approach — with no added fees at any stage. Just tailored support throughout, from first enquiry to après-ski.
Luxury is often unspoken. We value privacy, calm, and grace. Your stay is defined not by excess, but by quiet, crafted effortlessness.
