The New Year ski holidays are fast approaching. One of the most popular weeks of the ski season, demand always far exceeds supply, with the inevitable situation of prices typically rising, rather than falling, as we get closer to the start of the New Year ski holiday. If you are therefore looking for a late late deal, we would strongly suggest you choose a different week. Therefore, when we suggest you are best booking early, for the new year ski week, this isn’t just about securing the best, and or your preferred option, it is essential to capture a New Year ski holiday, with Chalet ski Holidays, for this week that you want.
While it is therefore a busy week, it is also a fun, and fabulous way to celebrate the end of one year, and see in the New Year. Most ski resorts, and certainly the ones that we feature, celebrate such in style, with thousands in some cases coming together in the respective ski resorts to celebrate on New Years Eve, with celebrations running long into the evening and following morning. As you might have guessed, the ski slopes on New Years Day are normally quite quiet in the morning, and it is not unusual to see parents on a family ski holiday, dropping children off at ski school, before either retiring, or find a quiet cafe for a restorative coffee or two!
Snowboarding and Skiing the New Year Ski Holidays
What can we say, it is often one of the best times, we feel, to be skiing the alps, as is the month of January generally. The temperatures are a little cooler than later on in the season. Subsequently, the snow during the new year ski holidays is typically fresh, crisp, and fluffy, just how we, here at Chalet Ski Holidays, like it! Helped also by being early in the season and having had few skiers and snowboarders using the slopes prior to this, and the Christmas ski holidays week.
The above noted, if you are travelling as a family, and ski equipment and ski lessons are needed, please appreciate that as probably the busiest week of the year, for your new year ski holidays, please book any equipment, and ski / snowboard lessons, well in advance of your arrival to avoid missing out and being disappointed on your arrival. Likewise, if you are travelling independently from the airports, or any train stations, transfers, hire cars, etc.
