Ski fanatics amongst you are going to love Google’s latest Street View development – Google Ski View. Now you can ski the pistes from simply the comfort of our armchairs! So when you are told it is just an easy ski down from your chalet, you can actually experience it, even before you book! We think it is great development. 

Google Street View to date has mapped over 230 ski resorts worldwide.  We’re not just talking the actual resort but the pistes as well on their special new skimobile (see photo below).

As mentioned above, this allows you to look at the main pistes and the village before committing to a holiday, or plan the next days ski trip knowing exactly what the terrain will be like and whether it fits the general ability of the group (nb:

conditions of course vary and can have a significant effect on the ease or challenge of any ski slope). Share

The majority are in North America but they are quite busy adding our European ski resorts as well as the Google Street View below of Gstaad in Switzerland.

And who won’t be looking back at the black pistes you have skied ion your return with friends?

All all in this is a great new additional resource but it’s still worth having a chat with our team about the suitability of the ski resort for your party. For example skiing with a mixed ability group you need to know whether there is enough to keep everyone happy or if you’re a family the ski terrain is suitable for the children and for you to get back to pick them up.
